Shift: Day M-TH

Hours: 8:30am-5:30pm

Start Date: Immediate

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine assisting duties for the Medical Clinic Providers under direct, onsite supervision of an MD or RN as approved by the Medical Director. This will include but not be limited to obtaining vital signs, patient medical history, presenting problem and maintain examination/treatment rooms

• Help maintain medical records to ensure quality (including patient history, problem lists, vital signs, patient communications, immunizations, and medications) and act as a “scribe” during patient visits as needed
• Care Coordination – Serve as “communication liaison” between the physician and patient by assisting the patient in communicating their needs to the physician

• Perform CLIA waved tests and provide results to the provider
• Sterilization of surgical instruments. Inventory of supplies and equipment
• Other tasks and duties as within scope of job and certification

• Currently Certified as a Medical Assistant
• Minimum 1 year experience
• Ability to work with a wide range of culturally and economically diverse clients, including children and adults
• Understanding of "Standard Precautions" including hand washing and disposing of bio hazard materials
• Strong computer skills and understanding of management of medical records
