Essential Functions • Provide residents with appropriate care involving: o medical aspects of admissions o maintaining and updating patient records • Provide day-to-day support to the Nursing Department by: o providing day to day medical status of residents o monitoring changes in the condition of residents and reporting to RN • Verify the accuracy of resident’s records • Review PRN usage and report to MD • Review psychotropic medications • Investigate all medical S.I.R.’s and taking appropriate actions • Report resident care or housekeeping problems to the Assistant Administrator • Assist with training and continuing education of all Caregivers II and III’s • Provide indirect supervision to all medical support staff • be available for on-call • Attend meetings as required: o Department meetings o Quarterly care conferences for service plan review o Daily/Bi-monthly nursing meetings • Maintain a documented system of operations policies and procedures and ensure that all facility practices and policies are carried out in the highest ethical manner • Participate in training required by accreditation standards, plus performance and quality improvement efforts Page 2 of 4 H:\Job Descriptions\LPN.docx 09.01.21 Vaccination • Be thoroughly familiar with the policies and procedures guiding the work of this position in particular and the program or department overall. Perform job functions in line with these policies and procedures • Ensure fidelity to company policies and procedures • Maintain compliance with all governing agencies’ rules and regulations • Attend and/or present department meetings
This is a flexible position available at 4, 10's or 5, 8's. Hours vary within business hours Monday through Friday.
